The clothing stores are showing off colorful spring lines and magazine covers are splashed with vivid baby greens and asparagus recipes in preparation for warmer weather. Here though, we've been experiencing weather fit for shortbread and reindeer. Then a few days ago the Chinooks blew in and pushed back the chills of winter allowing us a peek at spring. It was 17 C outside today and it was fab!
Now that I'm convinced winter isn't going to last forever I can come out of the winter blues. I even spotted a few blades of green grass out by the hedge! Woohoo!
Dinner was a white wine, garlic and butter sauce with pretty pink shrimp. The sauce was light and flavorful, boosted by the freshness of chopped parsley.
